15:52 but the HUGE problem is: they are so far away, we have no way to communicate with them, if we send a message and by the time it reaches them they are gone or when they send a reply and it reaches us we are gone. Not just society as we know it, but like: the sun has gone out and the planet went dark, etc.

I remember my DI told us. Every Marine no matter what generation within their enlistment will be in combat period. The law of averages for Marines is you got 4 years in your enlistment. At some point during thata enlistment there will be a dust up, or war. SO you will be involved.

I was a student at Kent when this went down. Some facts not mentioned was that the night before the shootings protesters burnt down the ROTC building. When the National Guard was called in they were already mobilized because they had been driving convoy escort for coal trucks during an ugly coal miners strike. Bricks were being dropped on them from over passes and some windshields were shot out. A lot of men in the National Guard had joined because at the time the Guard wasn't being sent to Vietnam so being deployed in these situations was not what they had signed up for. When the Guard was called in I knew things were going to get nasty so I left campus and went home so by the grace of God I wasn't there the day of the shootings. I was conflicted on the whole thing because I knew the war was wrong but also was raised with small town patriotic feelings. Later in the year I enlisted in the Navy and served on submarines. I was injured in an onboard accident and am now a disabled Veteran. My thoughts and prayers still go out to those families and also to the Guardsmen who were involved. May they all find peace in their hearts.

There are a vast array of telescopes, both on Earth and in space that we use to observe the universe. Some are visible light, some are infrared, some are X-ray, some are radio, some are microwave. As our technology advances, our ability to observe things across the universe improves. Just think about the discoveries the James Webb telescope has made, some of them have completely flipped our understanding of how matter, energy, gravity and the like work completely on its ear.

As a veteran im sorry you have some lame generalized view of 18 year olds. 18-24 year olds are the backbone of your freedoms, since 1776 these have been age group of the highest casualty counts in most battles. Alot of them were awarded medals, some were awarded amputations. There are kids from broken homes youve seen on the street who serve this nation better than kids whose parents fed them 3 square meals a day.

This song is about someone who is depressed and suicidal. The singer Dave Pirner was severly depressed when he wrote this song. "It seems no one can help me now, I'm in too deep, There's no way out", "Can you help me remember how to smile? Make it somehow all seem worthwhile?", "A little out of touch, little insane. It's just easier than dealing with the pain". Very hard to listen to these lyrics. It was the director of the video, Tony Kaye, who came up with the idea to make the music video about missing children. That turned out to be a pretty good idea.
